Fire Awareness Training Course (1/2 day)

Fire safety training LondonCourse Overview:

This ½ day course is aimed at employees (particularly new staff) to assist them in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the workplace. The course examines the phenomenon of fire that all of us can recognise, but the majority of people fail to fully appreciate. The course material and hand-outs are used in conjunction with Fire Safety an Employer’s Guide and current legislation. Delegate understanding is not assessed.

Aim:

The training aims to provide delegates with a greater awareness of the threat posed by fire to people, property and business continuity. By combining the recognition of individual responsibilities to report fire related hazards and how to initiate the appropriate actions should a fire occur, the risks to employees and the workplace will be reduced.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course delegates should:

  • Know their fire safety duties under the law
  • Be able to recognise the importance of effective evacuation
  • Know how to prevent fire and limit fire spread
  • Be able to identify the requirements of an effective fire action plan

Prerequisites:
